MyRides

Terms and Conditions

Review these conditions before requesting or providing a ride.

Terms version 2026-08-17.1. These Terms and Conditions are a product template and should be reviewed and adapted by qualified counsel for the jurisdictions where the local operator, drivers, and riders use the service. Nothing here waives a consumer protection, accessibility, employment, transportation, privacy, or other right that cannot lawfully be waived.

Platform role

Where permitted by applicable law, MyRides provides software, ride-request coordination, communications, payment records, and bookkeeping/administrative tools. It does not itself drive a vehicle or guarantee that transportation will be available. Drivers and local operators may be independent businesses or contractors, and each remains responsible for the licenses, insurance, permits, safety practices, taxes, accessibility duties, and other legal requirements that apply to their own operations. The legal classification of any party depends on the facts and local law.

Requests, acceptance, and safety

A ride request is not a guarantee of acceptance or pickup. Drivers, riders, and local operators must follow applicable traffic, licensing, nondiscrimination, safety, and accessibility laws. Riders must provide accurate pickup, destination, stop, contact, and safety information, remain available at pickup, use seat belts where required, and never request unlawful or unsafe activity. The platform may limit, suspend, or decline access to protect people, property, or the service.

Fares and cancellation fees

The booking screen shows an estimate based on the available fare settings. If a rider cancels after an assigned driver has accepted, the rider may owe a cancellation fee. The fee may include the driver's applicable base fee plus a server-recorded travel amount for valid location updates made while traveling toward pickup. An unassigned request may have no cancellation fee. The final amount is determined from the ride record and applicable local/operator policy, is shown as a payment due when available, and may be collected through a configured provider or in-person cash. The driver receives the applicable share after any configured platform commission and settlement conditions; the platform does not promise a payout before the rider payment is actually settled.

Driver cancellations

A driver may end or release an assigned ride when necessary, including for a vehicle issue, safety concern, rider unavailability, emergency, route/access issue, or another recorded reason. The driver must select a reason in the app, and the rider will be notified. Before the trip starts, the ride may return to the open request pool; after the trip is in progress, the ride is ended and recorded as cancelled. Any rider payment, refund, partial-trip amount, or driver compensation is handled according to the ride record, configured payment flow, local operator policy, and applicable law.

Payments and disputes

Payment providers are optional and may not be available in every installation. A provider checkout, return, webhook, or cash record must be verified before a ride is marked paid. Riders must not falsely report payment. Contact support promptly about an incorrect fee or duplicate payment, and preserve any receipt, trip record, location audit, or communication needed to investigate a dispute.

Accounts, records, and location

You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping credentials secure. Ride records may include entered addresses, exact GPS coordinates, estimated or reverse-geocoded addresses, driver travel updates, timestamps, payment status, and communications. These records may be retained for service delivery, safety, fraud prevention, bookkeeping, dispute handling, chargeback evidence, and legal obligations, subject to the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Disclaimers and limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without a promise that rides, drivers, routes, maps, ETAs, or communications will always be available, accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. Neither these Terms nor a platform description eliminates liability that applicable law does not allow the parties to limit. Any permitted limitation, indemnity, arbitration, venue, refund, or dispute-resolution term should be completed only after jurisdiction-specific legal review.

Changes and contact

These terms may be updated as the service, law, or local operator practices change. The current version is available on this page. Contact the local operator through the support channel provided in the app with questions, fee disputes, accessibility requests, or safety concerns. In an emergency, contact local emergency services first.
